  • Liz Sweezey
    Vice President

    Liz Sweezey has been with FairWinds Partners since September 2007, working with clients to optimize their domain name portfolios in step with online and industry changes. Liz provides clients with the targeted and knowledgeable FairWinds-backed advice they need to make informed decisions relating to protection and promotion of their brands online. An alumna of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, Liz graduated with a B.A. in Political Science.

  • Tom Carroll
    Associate

    Tom Carroll joined FairWinds Partners in 2009 as an Associate. Tom develops trademark and brand protection plans for clients as part of an effective overall online strategy. He also provides clients with targeted and knowledgeable advice based upon FairWinds proprietary research and expertise, that enables them to make informed decisions relating to protecting and promoting their brands online. Tom received a B.S. in International Business and Marketing from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

    Associate

    Anna Gayle joined FairWinds Partners in 2009 as an Associate. Anna develops trademark and brand protection plans for clients as part of an effective overall online strategy. She also provides clients with targeted and knowledgeable advice based upon FairWinds proprietary research and expertise, that enables them to make informed decisions relating to protecting and promoting their brands online. A graduate of the University of Virginia, Anna received a B.S. in Marketing and International Business from UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce in Charlottesville, VA.

  • Vincent Ko
    Associate

    Vincent Ko conducts research for business development at FairWinds. Vincent works to identify opportunities to connect FairWinds with companies that can better use their domain name portfolios to optimize their online presence.  He also does research, analysis and valuations for DDNA. Vincent graduated from the McDonough School of Business in Washington, DC with a B.S. in Business Administration, having majored in Operations and Information Management and International Business.

  • Morgan Wimberley
    Associate

    Morgan works with clients to devise effective online strategies that integrate trademark protection and brand promotion.  She also provides targeted advice to clients based on FairWinds’ proprietary research and expertise, which enables them to make the best decisions about how to protect and promote their brands online. Morgan graduated from Harvard University in 2008 with a B.A. in Government.

  • Brenda Forrester
    Manager

    Brenda works with Wendy to fulfill components of FairWinds’ Outsource Administration Solutions by providing domain account management for FairWinds clients.

    Brenda has been on the operations side of the domain name business for nine years. Through her previous work as a Client Representative at Iron Mountain and a Fulfillment Analyst at VeriSign Inc., she has become an expert on the processes and procedures involved in registering, modifying and transferring domains. In addition, Brenda’s extensive experience conducting transactions in international registries will enable her to help FairWinds clients maintain a healthy and robust portfolio.

  • Wendy Zimmerhanzel-Gitlitz
    Manager

    Wendy works with Brenda to fulfill components of FairWinds’ Outsource Administration Solutions by providing domain account management for FairWinds clients.

    Before joining FairWinds, Wendy spent six years as a Client Executive at Arcemus LLC (which was purchased by Iron Mountain in May 2004) where she provided intellectual property protection and brand strategy services on the Internet to the Fortune 1000, Small/Medium Enterprises and SOHO businesses. Having been in the domain industry for a total of 11 years, she has mastered the ins and outs of domain name management. Wendy will provide FairWinds clients with the personalized and expert attention that they need in order to maintain a strong and flourishing portfolio. Wendy graduated from the Brazos Business College in Bryan, Texas and holds Certificates in Human Services from both Tomball Junior College and Prairie View A&M University. She currently resides in Montgomery with her husband, David, and her daughter.

  • Steve Levy
    Counsel

    As counsel with 20 years experience practicing law, Steve Levy oversees and manages FairWinds’ Domain Name Reclaim Services. FairWinds’ Domain Reclaim Services provide a cost-effective and reliable means of prioritizing infringements and successfully reclaiming those that will optimize each client’s online presence. Steve Levy manages all of the administrative and legal aspects of domain name recovery and determines the optimal means for reclaiming valuable infringements.

    Steve was previously The Home Depot’s Senior Director - Legal for ten years, handling worldwide intellectual property matters that included trademark and domain name management. Prior to that, Steve was a Senior Associate at Proskauer Rose LLP, Trademark Counsel at Sony Corporation (Tokyo) and an Associate at Amster Rothstein & Ebenstein. Steve’s experience covers a broad range of legal tools to manage the assets and exposures of both large, multinational companies and small businesses alike. He also has extensive experience with, and perspective on, the full range of intellectual property tools and assets including trademarks, copyrights, patents and domain names. Steve is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and currently resides in Philadelphia, PA.

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Yvette Miller
    Director

    Yvette Miller is responsible for monitoring media coverage of Internet trends on behalf of FairWinds and its clients, and as a press liaison, works to ensure that FairWinds’ perspectives are made available to the public and become part of the dialogue. She also serves as Director, Communications for CADNA. Yvette has a B.A. in English and Government from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

  • Samantha Demetriou
    Manager

    Samantha Demetriou executes day-to-day communications for FairWinds, including the production of internal and external publications.  She is also responsible for developing content for CADNA’s communication needs. Samantha received a B.A. in Spanish and Linguistics with a minor in Business as well as an M.A. in Language and Communication from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

  • R. Coalter Powers
    Director

    Coalter Powers helps clients create a well-rounded domain name strategy by providing brand owners with tactical advisory services focused on developing online portals around the most intuitive and commercially dominant unbranded keyword domain names. Coalter also works to bring domain name buyers and sellers together, and creates a framework for both to capitalize on the best opportunities in today’s digital marketplace.

    Prior to joining DigitalDNA, Coalter spent six years managing business for two of the largest recruitment consultancies—Michael Page International and Harvey Nash Plc. Coalter oversaw the development of recruitment strategies and worked to foster strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 companies in order to create a network for mutually beneficial business growth. A graduate of the University of Vermont, he received a B.S. in Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing. Coalter lives with his wife, Andrea, in Chicago.

  • Taylor Frank
    Senior Associate

    Taylor conducts industry research, analyses, and competitive comparisons to assess the real and potential value of domain names. Combining qualitative and quantitative measurements to perform these valuations, Taylor provides clients with a holistic understanding of the strength of their portfolios. He also works on aspects of business development, identifying new opportunities for DigitalDNA and its clients.

    Taylor graduated from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business with a B.S. in Business Administration, having double-majored in Finance and Management of New and Small Businesses.

Advocacy – CADNA

  • Brad Dancy
    Director, Business Development

    Brad Dancy works to promote CADNA’s initiatives by educating the public on the risks and costs associated with cybersquatting. He also works to plan events and other outreach programs in order to grow support for the Coalition and its causes. Brad received a B.A. in International Communications from Franklin College in Lugano, Switzerland.

  • Ryan Lynch
    Director, Business Development

    Ryan Lynch works closely with brand owners to educate them on the risks and costs of cybersquatting. He also develops internal strategies for CADNA and works with its members to organize events and educational efforts.

    Prior to joining CADNA, Ryan was the national director and head of communications for Students for Saving Social Security, where he also served on the board of the organization’s lobbying counterpart, Secure Our Future. Ryan holds a BA in Consulting and Venture Management from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and a Masters in Health Care Management from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
