Connect With Elizabeth

One of the most experienced strategists in the company, Liz joined the company as a Marketing Associate. (It should serve as tribute to Liz’s skills that FairWinds discontinued the Marketing Associate position after her tenure.) Now, as the Vice President of Policy & External Relations, Liz oversees the strategic partnerships that help FairWinds provide the highest level of service to its clients, while also working directly with clients across the Technology, Financial Services, and Food and Beverage industries to improve their online brand promotion and protection efforts. Additionally, Liz leads FairWinds’ Internet Governance practice, representing FairWinds and its clients on a variety of issues. Liz graduated from the University of the South: Sewanee, a small college perched on a mountaintop in Tennessee.

STATS

  • Liz coordinated FairWinds’ completion of 135 new gTLD applications for 50 Fortune 500 and other blue chip companies.
  • Liz maintains relationships with over 20 Governmental Advisory Committee representatives, as well as other leaders and influential figures within ICANN.
  • Since joining FairWinds, Liz has helped 63 companies improve their domain name portfolios and better use domain names to connect with consumers while cutting costs.

Outside of FairWinds, Liz enjoys running, live music, playing with her delightful Labrador Retriever Baxter, and traveling with her friends and family. A Kentucky native, she loves watching horse racing, usually traveling home to attend the Kentucky Derby, and college basketball.

FUN FACTS

  • Liz believes you can judge a restaurant by its burger alone. Even restaurants that don’t serve burgers. Coincidentally, she says she could never be a vegetarian.
  • While studying abroad in college, Liz attended classes in the Vatican Library and the Sistine Chapel. She also spent her 21st birthday in Istanbul. (Or was it Constantinople?)
  • Liz’s pet peeve is intentionally misspelled common words. She has boycotted every Kwik Mart in the U.S. as a result.
